I've lied to you- but not when I said "I love you..."
The scars remain under the surface-
though I never give light to what I think:
my musings still live behind my eyes.
This pain still s in my past-
my heart still tends to b1eed...
I have not forgotten the words you spoke
which tore me apart into so many pieces.
Though you once said you'd never hurt me,
though you once held me close when I cried,
I know that in the end,
ultimately- I will be alone.
